Web8 okt. 2024 · The Homeless Reduction Act (HRA) was introduced in 2024 and it aims to relieve and prevent homelessness for all individuals that seek help (and not just families as this was the case in the past). Unfortunately, these aims will be undermined, and this policy will do little to help without improvements to wider housing and welfare policies. WebSet bold goals. When organizations and communities set a target to reduce street homelessness, they usually succeed. Don’t just think about housing a few hundred people in a shelter; think about how thousands can get permanent supportive housing within a year. Don’t get bogged down in politics.
