WebAug 18, 2014 · When you have a set up where you have forward controls and your legs are placed forward on the bike, it puts your shins at an angle that points right at your helmet. The air on both sides of the bike blasts up from under the windshield and right up your shins and there is no forward coming flow to deflect it. It's a straight shot.
